Israel shaken by troops' tales of brutality against Palestinians

Israel shaken by troops' tales of brutality against Palestinians

A psychologist blames assaults on civilians in the 1990s on soldiers' bad training, boredom and poor supervision.

I hope they are "shaken." Can't help but wonder, really, how is this brutality any different than brutality against Jewish people by the Nazis? Just wondering...

Greenspan Confronted By Activists, Flees From Angry Mob

Nate Evans was grabbed by more than four officers after criticizing the "Federal" private bank Greenspan previously headed. Other activists confronted Alan Greenspan as he left the event, giving him a public shaming for acting on behalf of his globalist masters.

While the globalist-controlled mainstream media rewards economic sabotage by portraying Greenspan and other financiers as economic 'saviors,' it is refreshing to know that many others are standing up in defiance of deliberate devaluation.

Congressman Ron Paul ripped into current Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke yesterday for intentionally weakening the dollar and misleading the public when his sole function is supposed to be maintaining the value of the dollar.

Ron Versus the Huckster

We know that Ron Paul did great in the Republican presidential debate sponsored by Fox News and held in Durham, New Hampshire, because how else can we explain neocon Andy McCarthy's exclamation of despair over at the National Review group blog? "Why," he cried out in anguish, "is there so much cheering for Ron Paul?"

As the last of the neoconservative dead-enders, holed up over at "The Corner," mutter darkly, Paul, the ten-term libertarian Republican congressman from Texas, is stealing the spotlight from the so-called frontrunners. For the first time in many a moon, we witnessed a genuine knock-down drag-out brawl between presidential contenders: a real mix-up in which Rep. Paul, the only antiwar candidate in the GOP pack, succeeded in framing the debate around his challenge to neocon orthodoxy on the all-important issue of foreign policy.

'Only in America'? Gunning Down a Claim

In response to the horrible mass shooting at Virginia Tech on Monday, overseas leaders as well as many Americans have condemned the "gun culture" of the United States. Perhaps these overseas leaders and American citizens would be less hard on our country if we discuss what has been happening in other countries.

Priests to Purify Site After Bush Visit

GUATEMALA CITY -- Mayan priests will purify a sacred archaeological site to eliminate "bad spirits" after President Bush visits next week, an official with close ties to the group said Thursday.

"That a person like (Bush), with the persecution of our migrant brothers in the United States, with the wars he has provoked, is going to walk in our sacred lands, is an offense for the Mayan people and their culture," Juan Tiney, the director of a Mayan nongovernmental organization with close ties to Mayan religious and political leaders, said Thursday.

IMPEACH! the criminals!

In the face of Bush's escalation of the war, Jan. 27 was a massive outpouring of protest to end the war, with at least one hundred thousand coming from across the country to Washington, DC, and thousands protesting on the west coast. There was a widespread demand that Bush be impeached among the protesters and from the stage, with clear connections drawn between ending the war and removing this administration from office. Students, union members, peace groups, and many different people who are completely fed up came out Jan. 27 to protest and look for how to mobilize resistance that can stop the direction Bush is taking the world.

Coming off of the January 27th protests, the challenge is this: Are we going to move heaven and earth to bring the criminal Bush regime to a halt, ending the war and driving them from power? Now is the time. 2008 is too late. It is unconscionable to allow the carnage to life and justice to go on.
