U.S. deaths in drone strike

A Marine and a Navy medic killed in the first known case of U.S friendly fire casualties from a drone strike were targeted when Marine commanders in Afghanistan mistook them for Taliban fighters, even though analysts watching the Predator's live video feed were uncertain if the men were part of an enemy force.
Those are the findings of a Pentagon investigation into the April 6 deaths of Marine Staff Sgt. Jeremy D. Smith, 26, and Navy Hospitalman Benjamin D. Rast, 23. The 381-page report concludes that the Marine officers and the Air Force crew controlling the unmanned aircraft from half a world away were unaware that analysts watching the firefight unfold via live video at a third location had doubts about the targets' identity.
The miscommunications among ground commanders, the Predator pilot and crew at Creech Air Force Base in Nevada, and Air Force analysts studying the video and data feed at an Air National Guard base in Indiana, highlight problems in the Pentagon's growing reliance on armed drone aircraft, which U.S. forces now use in combat zones around the world.

H1N1 Shot blamed for rare disorder
A Calgary woman regrets getting the H1N1 shot after her doctor told her it likely caused a rare and painful disorder.
Norma Goldring said she felt compelled to get an H1N1 vaccine because she is diabetic and has had a heart attack, two factors that Alberta Health noted as putting people at higher risk for serious complications from swine flu.
But soon after getting the shot last winter, Goldring felt ill.
“My body was aching and I was throwing up. Then I developed a spot on my leg,” she said.
The rash spread quickly and Goldring ended up in hospital on Christmas Day. “By the time I got to emergency, it spread pretty bad and turned to blisters.”
Her kidneys were shutting down. Doctors eventually diagnosed it as vasculitis, an inflammation that destroys blood vessels.
Her doctor, who asked not to be named, concluded it was probably connected to the H1N1 shot. Goldring, according to her doctor, is one of only 31 people since 1974 to have had this type of reaction to a flu shot.
Won’t get shot again, says Goldring
Now, even using a walker to get from her living room to her kitchen causes her excruciating pain. She is on pain killers and steroids.
“It was like I was put through a fire. It was like someone lit me on fire,” she said.
Goldring said she won’t get a flu shot again. Desmond Fordyce, her partner, said he is worried the vaccine wasn’t tested properly before widespread public vaccinations began.
“I think they’re killing you more than giving you something for making you better,” he said.
Dr. Glen Armstrong, head of the microbiology and infectious diseases department at the University of Calgary, said the H1N1 vaccine is safe. “It’s very clear that the benefits of having people get vaccinated, far, far outweigh the risks of the very small number of adverse reactions to the vaccine.”
So far, 25 million doses of the vaccine have been distributed across Canada. Nearly 6,000 H1N1 shots resulted in an adverse reaction, of which more than 200 were considered serious. Health officials are investigating 13 post-shot deaths.
Alberta health officials told CBC News they have talked to Goldring’s doctor and will continue to investigate what happened in her case.
The province has seen 1,276 people hospitalized with H1N1 since April 2009 and 71 deaths have been connected to the virus.

H1N1- Swine Flu: A Post Mortem
Rarely in the annals of history have we seen such as humongous hoax as the recent “H1N1-pandemic”. What reportedly began in Mexico last spring in Vera Cruz state, at an insalubrious industrial sized pork farm was then upgraded from to a global health crisis. Nine months later it has ended with allegations of an immense imposture on a world-wide scale. A presumably fake flu scare was orchestrated and carefully coordinated apparently from within the WHO’s inner sanctum, in order to boost vaccine sales and the profits of the pharmaceutical industry. Were we all fobbed and sold of bill of goods? Was the “false pandemic” really a hoax or are accusations coming from medical experts such as Dr. Wolfgang Wodarg (www.wodarg.de/english/index.html) just conspiratorial blather?
Well let’s look at it from this standpoint. Out of a total planetary population of around 6.8 billion people, only approximately 15,613 deaths [not all of which were actually confirmed] have been directly attributed to H1N1 as of late 2009 (www.flucount.org). In 1918, by comparison the mortality level attributed to the “Spanish flu” was 50 million deaths. This was a whopping 3 percent of the total world’s population which was 1.6 billion at the time. So just based on this measurable scale the Swine flu was indeed a big dud.
Despite this epidemic’s low mortality rate, it was never the less judged by both national government’s medical experts and the UN health officials in Geneva to be a “pandemic”. This alarmist term has been used irresponsibly in a “fast and loose” manner to seemingly panic people and get them to go get jabbed to the delight of the vaccines’ manufacturers. Officials during the height of the hysteria around June, spread highly exaggerated pronouncements about the extent and virulence of the “deadly outbreak” among the populace. Of course this was designed to deliberately scare the populace and it engendered a pandemic of fear which spread further and faster than the H1N1 –Swine flu bug itself.
Misusing terminology and making misleading claims
Pandemic, of course originates from the Greek words “pan” mean all and “demos” or people. Hence an outbreak of a dreaded contagious disease in order to qualify as a “pandemic” must affect the vast majority. This was certainly not the case in Mexico . They occurred in an urban centre with over 20 million people. The “pandemic” prompted a virtual state of emergency to be enacted, which practically paralysed the entire capital.

In France the Swine flu “fiasco has resulted in millions of unused doses of the H1N1 vaccine piling up as it approached its expiry date in government warehouses. Since the mass vaccination campaign began last October, around 5 million people go the jab. The French health ministry purchased 94,000 million doses more than would cover the entire population of the country at a cost of $ 1.25 billion. The government stuck with vast quantities of doses which are decreasing in potency is frantically seeking to sell off their left –over stocks (but the manufacturers are reluctant to buy them back!). Others countries like Canada, unable to sell off the vaccines, is offloading or sending them to “needier” countries in the developing world as a gesture of their self-less generosity.

Two Canadians partially paralyzed after receiving the H1N1 shot
Two Canadians have been diagnosed with the paralyzing condition called Guillain-Barre Syndrome after taking the H1N1 swine flu shot two weeks prior. It's uncertain whether the two incidents are related, doctors say.

She cannot stand without leaning on a walker, her legs are too numb to allow her to walk, the right side of her face is paralyzed, she cannot chew her food properly and her right eye cannot blink, therefore she wears a bandage.

Side Effects Unknown for New Swine Flu Vaccine from GlaxoSmithKline - Package Insert Not Released
In order to meet the growing need for swine flu vaccination in the United States, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved another H1N1 vaccine for use in the U.S., distributed by GlaxoSmithKline. This vaccine is based on the seasonal flu vaccine called FLULAVAL.
Formaldehyde in the swine flu vaccine
The formulation used in FLULAVAL contains formaldehyde as a result of the vaccine manufacturing process. This is an inactivated virus, used for injection. Formaldehyde is used during vaccine processing in order to kill the virus.
Mercury in the new H1N1 vaccine
According to the package insert for FLULAVAL, there are 25 micrograms of mercury in each .5mL dose of the H1N1 vaccine distributed in multi-dose vials. There are no single-dose vials of this vaccine.

A teenage Virginia athlete is in a wheel chair now after suffering Guillain-Barre Syndrome within hours after receiving an H1N1 swine flu vaccine shot. 14-year-old Jordan McFarland developed severe headaches, muscle spasms and weakness in his legs after being injected. He will need "extensive physical therapy" to recovery, reports MSNBC. Plus, he'll need the help of a walker for four to six weeks.
